As per the resolution mandated by tribal council the Colorado River Indian Tribes Library & Archives will be closed temporarily to the general public until further notice.
Originally, the library was set to open for business again at 8 am on Friday, March 20th but there has been changes in planning. Now, the library plans to mimic the opening dates of the Parker Unified School District and from tribal council's guidance, meaning that the library's opening date is April 10th. The closure is to help aid the prevention of the spread of the corona virus in Parker, Arizona. During the closure staff will remain in the library sanitizing and cleaning surfaces multiple times a day, every day.
Several other community events have been cancelled throughout March and April, such as The 2020 Census Community Kickoff, Megathrow, and the Youth camp for Headstart. An update list will be posted as more information from the council's decisions are posted.
The Colorado River Indian Tribes would like to remind all of our patrons and the rest of the community to take added precautions when in public and around those who are sick. More information on how take care of yourselves and your family can be found on the CDC's website.
The library's regular business hours will be updated here. Check our Facebook page for more updates. Be careful and remember to take care of yourselves.
